You're smart to keep your Media Center clean. I have tinkered so much with different software and I noticed how much it slows things down, so I end up having to uninstall. Only player i have tried outside of Windows Media Player that works sort of is VLC.. on my Media Center i will not install anything outside of antivirus and firewall to keep it stable... on my own game pc I test out stuff, but Real and quicktime is in my mind large spyware software that you install on your own risk...
