Ian, I believe the MPEG4 question really just boils down to needing a compatible codec installed, since the My Videos uses the WMP10 engine, if WMP10 plays it so should MCE. If it is stock MPEG4 installing XviD or DviX or FFDShow should allow it to be played back. If it is H.264, which is doubtful, he’ll need something like X.264 or one of the new commercial decoders from Cyberlink or InterVideo.
