XBOX 360 has built in Media Center functions
As expected the XBOX 360 has built in Media Center functions. So it will be able to stream TV, music and vidoes from a Media Center PC without any extra software neeeded.
It will also stream HDTV, good for US owners
I wonder if it still uses Remote Desktop to get content to the XBOX? Will existing MCE apps work with the new XBOX? I think that streaming media is built in but there are no details about other MCE apps.
Anybody got any ideas?
At least we will get we should get extenders for the UK and the rest of the world

Yeah, personally I’d like to know why the U.S. got the XBox Media Centre extender, and the UK didn’t. So I guess I’ll have to buy the XBox 360 for the media centre capabilities…or mod the original XBox. Whoops, I mean, no I wouldn’t dare to void my warranty and illegally mod the XBox….

If i lived in the UK and if i bought a XBOX Media Center Extender Kit in the US say on holiday, Would i have any problems using it in the UK?

yes as it checks your region. if it was chipped it would work.

i honestly am very dissapointed with microsoft, they are cheap bastards! i cant even stream my movies onto the xbox which to me is not good enough for a micrsoft product, theyre just looking for mroe ways to make a buck(as if they need it anyways) ive tried converting files ect but nothing works apart from my homemade movies (FUN FUN) grrrrr microshit u fuck me off with ur gay technology, u shudnt advertise pc sync on ur box if u need to buy a specifc pc to do it with! shit i wish i hadve waited for the ps3because xbox360=waste of my time and money
